This Privacy Policy informs you about personal data trnd collects about you when you use this Website and how they are processed and used.

trnd is aware of the sensitivity of your personal data and is dedicated to protecting your privacy when collecting, processing and using personal data. Personal Data will be collected, processed and used in compliance with applicable laws.

1. Information about Website visits

You can visit our Website without revealing any information about yourself. In this case, trnd collects only access data which do not allow any conclusions as to your identity (for more details about the use of Cookies for web analysis purposes see below clause 7 of this Privacy Policy). These non-personally identifiable data are analysed by trnd to improve its offering and services. trnd collects your personal data only in case you voluntarily decide to disclose such data while using this Website. For instance, it will be necessary that you submit personal data (e.g. your name and email address) to trnd in order to be able to use certain functions and services (the contact form, trnd Know-how Report subscription, blog commenting, etc.).

2. trnd newsblog

If you leave a comment on a blog post, your comment, your name or nickname and the time when you submitted your comment will be visible to all users of this Website. No other information will be publicly displayed or can be viewed by others, unless you provide such information yourself, e.g. as part of your comment.

In addition to the information provided by yourself (e.g. your name/nickname or the text of your comment), trnd will also store your email address and the time when you posted your comment.

Your email address will not be published. Email addresses are collected to prevent misuse of the comment feature on the newsblog.

Nicknames are allowed. Comments are voluntary and governed by the trnd Terms of Use.

Comments you post will not be pre-checked by trnd and may be read by others without your knowledge. Apart from that, other users may comment on any of your comments and post their comments as well.

trnd will make efforts to ensure that the rules for commenting on posts as laid down in the Terms of Use are complied with and to delete any comments not following these rules as soon as trnd becomes aware of them.

Your comments will be retained by trnd for as long as the blog post you commented on will appear on the trnd newsblog. For this period of time, your comments will be publicly available on the trnd newsblog. Any comments and corresponding information (such as email addresses) will be deleted after such period of time, except where any relevant statute of limitations term applicable to the content of the comments requires a longer retention of the comments.

3. trnd contact form

You can use our trnd contact form to request more information from trnd, to request a personal offer, or to subscribe to the trnd Know-how Report. To be able to use these services, the following information may be required, depending on the method by which you wish to be contacted:

We need the information you give us to provide you with the desired services, specifically to provide the information you requested, or to contact you for the purposes you requested. 4. trnd Know-how Report

We will send you the trnd Know-how Report only if you expressly give us your consent. The trnd Know-how Report informs you regularly per email about current developments in collaborative and word-of-mouth marketing.

The wording of the consent given when subscribing to the trnd Know-how Report can be viewed at the end of this Privacy Policy.

It is also possible to subscribe to the trnd Know-how Report anonymously. In this case, you only need to enter your email address in the contact details form, without having to complete any other fields.

9. YouTube

This Website also embeds videos provided by YouTube LLC (“YouTube”). Using YouTube’s offering requires a connection to be established to YouTube’s servers in the US. During this process, certain information is transmitted to YouTube. For all YouTube videos embedded in our Website we have enabled the Privacy-enhanced mode offered by YouTube. This means that YouTube stores information about a visitor to our Website only if he or she chooses to play an embedded video. 10. Transfer of your data to third parties/Use within the trnd Group

Since many enquiries can be handled only within the international trnd group of companies, it may be necessary to transfer your enquiry and your data from trnd to other trnd group companies (i.e. companies which are affiliated with trnd at the time when the transfer takes place; a current list of trnd group companies can be found here). The transfer shall be effected online (via data transfer) or offline (on data carriers). All trnd group companies are bound by the same high data protection standards as trnd.

Moreover, trnd may employ third-party service providers to store, host and process your data on behalf of trnd. trnd shall ensure by contractual agreements that your data are stored and processed by the service provider strictly in accordance with the instructions of trnd and only for the purpose of providing this Website and the services and features offered on this Website.
